THE GIANT STRIDE - AN ENLIGHTENING PIECE BY AKINADE TEMIDAYO

As he stood in his comfort arena,he consistently had his focus on the other side.
He paced here and there as he kept on soliloquising. His actions were more of that of a man scared of taking the needful, than of a confused one. He knew he would have to risk it to get the biscuit, heat it to get the gold!...

Days went by as they turned into weeks and months, still he wallowed in his fears, trapped within the cage of his limits, he still couldn't take his eyes off the prize even when the price to pay looked more of a nightmare than a dream. He knew he would have to risk it to get the biscuit, heat it to get the gold!....

In his comfort arena, everything looked perfect, perfect for the life of a common man,he had riches not wealth, friends not loyal, companions not trustworthy, of course that was more than enough for a common man, regardless, he kept his gaze on the other side as the grass looks greener, he wanted to be there, he needed to be there! But he knew he would have to risk it to get the biscuit, heat it to get the gold!...

The distance between his ground and the other side is miles apart, embarking on the journey isn't as perilous as the challenges he fears are on the path... thorns, venom, forest, and the dread of moving alone all kept creeping in and kept him mentally enslaved, but he just knew he would have to risk it to get the biscuit, heat it to get the gold!..

Worn out by his desires to reach the other side, and the consistent discomfort of his comfort zone, he decided, against all odds to take the leap! He kept his eyes on the prize and with each pace, the price kept declining, he went alone, leaving behind, friends who called him crazy, family he tried talking him out of his insanity, foes who wishes his fire dies half way.. For his desire to get the biscuit eventually surpassed his fears of dying while risking it!

NB; on the path to greatness, there would always be challenges, there would always be people who would try talking you out of your dreams, there would always be fear of the unknown, determine to take that giant stride for once, even when you burn out, you'd be fulfilled you at least gave a try!
