#ENDSARS : THE CRY OF THE NIGERIAN YOUTH.

The past few days have been really challenging for a lot of us emotionally, physically, mentally and it has also affected us in some ways our we may not even realise yet.
For some people it also affected their businesses and sources of income as well. Nigerian youths came with one voice to speak out against police brutality, insecurity and abuse of power by security forces across the country which became full blown even during the protests.
Many lives were lost, fallen heroes and many businesses were affected as well. Also there has been an upsurge in cases of mental breakdown as the events from the protests really got to some people, as well as a lot of the unfortunate incident that happened during the protests.

Amidst all of this, it is important to note that we stood up for a cause that was worth talking about and it was felt all over the world more especially in other parts of Africa. Also this might be the only opportunity that we will get to actually speak up against something and make a great impact and this is the first time it is actually happening in this generation. Also this time the protests were not initiated or led by politically minded youths, everyone was involved from entertainers to social media influencers to the young men and women on the streets, in offices and even in the diaspora. We were also well-organised and peaceful even in ambush. We all looked out for each other and the world heard our voices.
To all our fallen heroes those whose lives were lost during the course of the protests we pray that their souls find perfect peace and to everyone still recuperating in the hospital we also wish them a speedy recovery too. Also to everyone whose businesses or sources of income were badly affected we also really apologize and we do hope that you are able to bounce back really soon.

From 1 voice to 2 voices to 5 to 10 to 100 to 1 million and more, across all States and countries on the planet, the cries of the Nigerian youths were heard by the whole world. The End SARS chants signified more than just ending the SARS unit, it signified the strength, the resilience and the agitations of a Nigerian youth on a daily basis. Although we had to back down at some point, we do know that our requests have been made known and we are hoping that they are also met soonest. Also channels have been open to investigate police brutality cases as well as other channels are also being open to report police brutality cases, let us endeavour to know them and also use them accordingly. Meanwhile let us not forget that we are still on a course to get justice.
I am proud of you all and I do know that together with one voice we can demand and get a better work in Nigeria.
